Badger pin badge - Wooden hand painted brooch - wildlife gift

£11.00

I don't know why it took Charming Badger 2 years to make a little badger pin - but here it is!

Badgers are ancient, benign creatures (unless you're a worm) that are now the largest carnivores in the British Isles. While they're not loved by all (dairy farmers and people with gardens that have been "landscaped" by the critters being the obvious exceptions) , they are generally very popular amongst wildlife lovers, meaning that this would be appreciated by most animal lovers or nature lovers. The price means this is a good option for a stocking filler or secret Santa gift that is just a bit unique and quirky.

Brocks have striking (and if you ask me rather handsome) markings - so this pin does too. With it's monochrome styling this pin is remarkably gender neutral, and would be an understated addition to a muted outfit or bag - while it would pop against bright colours.

He’s about 5cm long and is cut from sustainable 3mm ply so the edges have a pleasing sandwich effect and the materials are environmentally friendly.

It has been hand painted with care to and then has a light coating of non-yellowing varnish to ensure that colours stay strong. The varnish provides protection from damp and knocks (that said, it hasn't been designed for a soaking - so don't try sticking it in the washing machine). On the back there is a brooch clasp which is has been attached with super strong glue to keep things in place.

Because it's hand painted each badger is just a little unique, so yours may vary a smidge from the one in the photo.

It's presented on a card in a small box - both of which are made from recycled card and it comes in plastic-free packaging as I'm trying to be one of the good guys.
